Princess Anne is to open the recently completed scheme at North Staffordshire YMCA on the 27^th April 2012.

The scheme consists of :

36 one and two bedroom ‘move on’ flats for young people

A new sports hall comprising multi use hall for a variety of traditional (football, badminton, basketball, cricket) and non traditional sports (archery, roller blading), a 10m high climbing wall and a fitness gymnasium.

Extension to the existing accommodation block to provide an internet cafe, gaming area, library, spiritual zone, activity rooms, IT learning suite and additional office accommodation for the management team.

The YMCA have recently obtained funding for the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing ‘tower’ block to provide 70 ensuite bedrooms with communal kitchen facilities which Poole Dick Associates in conjunction with Staffordshire Housing Association have been commissioned to deliver.
