Principal Designer


Appointed by the client and responsible for supporting the client on health and safety matters relating to their construction projects. The Principal Designer has an important role in co-ordinating health and safety and ensuring issues are efficiently addressed throughout the pre and post-contract stages of a development.

Safety is of the utmost importance on all our construction projects. Our Principal Designer will ensure that the CDM regulations are adhered to throughout the construction process:

  • Practical construction and design advice
  • Liaise with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE)
  • Provide pre-construction information
  • Review of contractors health & safety provisions
  • Regular site safety inspections
  • Ensure operation information is provided
  • Coordinate health & safety files
  • Ensure maintenance information is provided
