There’s no better way to start the day than with a hearty breakfast and when it comes in the form of a Full English, served by The Management Team, it’s rocket fuel for the week ahead!
This was the scene on Tuesday morning in our Manchester office, a special event to recognise the staff’s contribution to one of our Core Values – Encourage Creativity. It’s one of 5 company values at Poole Dick, each represented by five transparent cylinders displayed in our offices. A ping pong ball is dropped into the relevant tube every time someone lives out that value and, as the level rises, milestone markers are reached, triggering a random treat.
MasterChef Jonathan Purcell was clearly in his element, ably assisted by sous chef Debbie Potter and backed up by the two ‘Manuels’, Dave and Steve. It was a wonderful way to start the week, a fabulous demonstration of team spirit and the type of initiative that makes up The Poole Dick Way.
We have our next treat all lined up – a trip on the East Lancashire Railway with pub grub, a reward for making progress on the ‘Stay Sharp’ cylinder. This core value involves keeping abreast of new technologies and developments within our industry, as well as honing our wider professional skills.
If you’re interested in working for us, or with us, please look out for our soon-to-be-published ‘Manifesto’ entitled ‘Discovering the Poole Dick Way’.
