Qualifications

BA (Hons) Arch, BArch, ARB

Stewart joined us as a consultant in 2016 to help us identify and achieve our business growth objectives. In the last 18 months, Stewart has worked closely with the management team to develop and implement a people-focused business plan titled ‘New Decade: New Beginnings’. He is a Registered Architect with over 35 years’ experience in mainstream architectural practice.

We were the first Quantity Surveyors that Stewart worked with when he qualified! Splitting his time between consultancy, education, pro-bono and charity activities, Stewart is well known in the North West property and construction sector. After 5 years as Chair of FBE Manchester, he stepped down in 2021 to pursue other interests. Stewart is also a consultant with Hydrock and Falconer Chester Hall.

He is the Chair of Norfox, a children’s charitable trust linked with the NW property sector and also sits on the Greater Manchester Chamber Property and Construction Group. He became a Professional Examiner for RIBA in 2000, and at the Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL in 2016.

Outside of Work

Along with his Architect wife Ali, Stewart has always been involved in niche residential development. He designed and built their home in Mobberley in 2013 before moving to the Wirral in 2016. Happiest outdoors, whether it be on the golf course or in the garden, Stewart is a lifelong rugby fan who remains obsessed with the AllBlacks and the links between their sporting and cultural significance and success in business. In 2015, as part of a mid-career ‘gap year’ he cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats, partly for the challenge as well as to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
